MSE Walls

ViaWall A (Approval IBDiM: No. AT/2010-02-2611)

The ViaWall A uses precast panels with galvanized steel wire mats to reinforce a retained soil mass

Panels:
The system consist of reinforced concrete panels  C30/37 which are reinforced steel class A-III. Standard dimensions are 150x150x15 and 150x75x15cm. There is also a possibility to make not standard panels of various shapes with the 15cm thickness. The maximum width or length size is 220cm.

Mats:

Mats are made of welded steel bars with diameters between 6 and 12mm. Length of the mats are different and are selected so as to give the stability of the wall. The bars, handles and bolts are covered with a layer of zinc coating mass 600g/m2 minimum.

Additional elements:
- The bearing pads (60÷65 Shore hardness PN ISO 868:2005), Two bearing pads shall be placed on top of each precast panel with the exception of the top panel sections.
- Filter cloth – geosynthetcs belts (305mm min. width) covering the vertical and horizontal joints between panels.
- alignment pins – one side threaded steel rods which galvanized setting are placed to the lower ones.

Charge
As the land use charge the following parameters:
- internal friction angle φ min = 34 °, cohesion c = 0kPa and volume weight γ = 20.0kN/m3

ViaWall characteristics:

- Fast, flexible and economical embankment protection.

- Used for many years throughout the world,

- The possibility of formation of virtually any geometric shapes,

- Panels available in a variety of sizes, textures and custom designs,

- Adapts to curves, angles and steps,

- Effective system for a wide variety of architectural treatments

Applications

· Retaining Walls

· Headwalls and Wingwalls

· Bridge Abutments

· Grade Separations

· Crusher Ramps/Walls

ViaWall-B (Mesh)

The ViaWall B uses only galvanized steel wire mats to reinforce a retained soil mass

Mats:
There are two types of mats. Grid standard L-shaped create face of the wall and retaining soil. Second type is auxiliary mats which create only face of the wall. Mats are made of welded steel rods from 6 to 12mm. In order to protect against corrosion are covered with a mesh layer of zinc coating mass 600g/m2 min.

Charge:
In the face of natural aggregates or broken with the grain size 80/250.
The main charge is the natural aggregates or broken with the grain size 0/80

Backfill must be compacted to Ismin = 0.97

Characteristics:

· Economical system for retaining walls, steepened slopes and erosion control

· Can handle extreme surcharge loads

· Permanent or temporary applications

· Adapts to curves, angles and steps

Applications

· Retaining Walls

· Headwalls and Wingwalls

· Bridge Abutments

· Crusher Ramps/Walls

ViaBlock
(Approval IBDiM: No. AT/2010-02-2666)

ViaBlock is a system of retaining walls which face the walls are concrete blocks connected to the polypropylene grid which reinforcing ground. Block is an integral part of the retaining wall ViaBlock and can only be used with other elements of the system, (one-way polypropylene mesh, connector for connecting a polymeric geogrids (Bodkin) and polymeric linker connecting the grid with a block (Tclip).

Blocks:
There are two types of wall blocks, concrete blocks and blocks crowning the wall. Both blocks are made of concrete C25/30 min

Grid:
The polyethylene element is one-way grid-type TT SAMP.

Additional elements:
Other elements of the system is the connector for connecting a polymeric geogrids (Bodkin) and polymer connector blocks for connecting to the grid (T-Clip).

Characteristics:

· Economical system for retaining walls, steepened slopes and erosion control

· Can handle extreme surcharge loads

· Possibility to make blocks of different colors

· Adapts to curves, angles and steps

· Fast and easy installation without a crane

Applications

· Retaining Walls

· Headwalls and Wingwalls

· Bridge Abutments
